Serve

Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to our community and the world. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as giving parents a break through babysitting, assisting home-bound members with repairs, feeding and clothing those in need, visiting the sick, providing Sunday worship to nursing facilities, and much more. If you are interested in one of the ministries below, please call the church office for more information at  (270) 351-6055.

Mission Outreach

Stithton is excited to be part of spreading God’s kingdom in our community and around the world. Annually, we have three major church-wide mission focuses each year. These include a special mission offering, prayer emphasis and mission study. The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering in March and April emphasizes missions throughout North America. Each September, we are involved in the Eliza Broadus Mission Offering, which focuses on Kentucky. In December, we participate in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.   On Tuesdays (1:00 – 3:00pm) Esther’s Closet provides food and clothing to the local community.

Worship

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play instruments; some are vocalists and others are involved in production.  We always need musicians and those willing to help with sound and media. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, during the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers from our Prayer Warriors team pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study.

Youth & Kid's Ministry

From rocking a baby to mentoring a high school senior, our youth and kid's ministry has several ways to serve.  We are looking for dependable van drivers for Wednesday and Sunday nights.  We also would love help with cooking meals on Sundays or Wednesdays.  Build Up Kid's is always looking for volunteers to help on Sunday mornings or Wednesday nights.  If interested in serving in youth contact Mrs. Kandice Rice.  If interested in serving in kids contact Mrs. Jenn White.
